KANROCKS WIll Be CLOSED May 22nd so that we can clear out the way for the new electricity. We will be starting at 8:00 and are asking for volunteers to help out. There is ivy, so if you are allergic, please be prepared with eye protection, ear protection and gloves. We will need chain saws, trucks, trailers, and a few rigs to drag stuff off. The Park staff will provide lunch and water. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you will able to make it and what you will be bringing. See you there. Thanks.
We finally have our new and super improved interactive map done just in time for you to head to the park for the annual Frostbite event!
This new map, available through CartoTracks, is a whole ‘nother kind of map – designed to work on a mobile device with a magic blue dot showing your location on the map using GPS instead of cell signal! Check it out NOW!!
Our Adopt-A-Trail program allows clubs and organizations to be part of the park’s success. They come in and adopt a trail section and maintain that section twice a year…once in the spring and once in the fall. The park allows these groups free entry on AAT days as they give it a half day or so of concentrated maintenance effort before going off to play and enjoy the rest of the day. The park provides cookies, soda and water for the workers. It is a great way for clubs to have a hand in the success of this park and have pride in what the park offers. Check in is from 8:00-9:00.
Spring AAT is May 7th and The Fall AAT is September 10th.
